Welcome back to another blog post, feels like forever since I’ve written a post but here I am. I am sharing my experience with the XO Balm. I was browsing the bloggers wanted hashtag on Twitter. I found the XO Balm and I was instantly intrigued as it’s for dry and sensitive skin which is what I have. I left my email and the lovely Charlotte emailed me asking if I was still interested in reviewing the product.
So giving you some background information about the XO Balm is that it is made from 100% natural ingredients. The product is designed for dry, rough, sensitive or irritated skin. This is perfect for any part of the body even your lips. The balm will instantly hydrate, sooth and it will leave a protective barrier. This balm can also be used for split end and maintaining frizz but I haven’t tried that. You can purchase the balm on Amazon or the XO Balm website which is xobalm.com. The balm is £12.50 and if you are from the UK it comes with free postage which is perfect. If you are unsure whether you want to by the full 45ml product you can by a sample size for £2.50.
I’m going to include so information from the information sheet which was kindly emailed to me by Charlotte as I think it will help a lot of you…
XO Balm’s 5 point plan for protection
XO Balm is free from preservatives, sulphates and fragrances to avoid triggering any sensitivity. The scent of the product is only from the natural beeswax and coconut oil.
Each of the 4 ingredients in XO Balm’s formula plays an essential role; beeswax helps strengthen the skin’s natural barrier to reduce cracking, coconut oil and olive oil hydrate and nourish the skin, while chia seed oil reduces itching, inflammation and discomfort.
Unlike greasy prescription dry skin products, XO Balm sits on the skin with a matte finish, making it more practical and comfortable. The beeswax also helps the natural oils stick to the skin, offering longer protection.
The XO Balm tin is portable and features a mirror and applicator scoop, designed for frequent applications to help a proactive not reactive approach to skin health.
XO Balm does not sacrifice product efficacy for texture, feel or fragrance. In cold temperatures the balm can be firmer; the scoop is included so a small amount can be removed from the tin and warmed in the palm for easier application.
On to what I actually think about the XO Balm…
When I first saw this product on Twitter I really wanted to get my hands on it because it stated for dry and sensitive skin, which is me down to a T. If you’ve seen my tweets and my Instagram stories you will most likely know that I react to every skincare brand going, the main on being simple. I’m always on the hunt for sensitive skin can products so I left my email down in the comments to see if Charlotte would be interested in picking me to review it and she did which I’m so grateful for.
I received this product on the 26th July so I have been trying it out for a while now and I’ve seen a huge change to my skin. The dry patches on my face have minimized drastically. All you need to two spoonfuls of the balm on the spectacular provided to cover your whole face. I also use this on my lips, legs and feet and it’s amazing. The product doesn’t leave a greasy feel either like most balms.
I have reacted to this product once either. My skin feels so much smoother and healthier since using this balm. The only thing I would say is you might have to warm the balm up by rubbing it between your fingers which will make it easier to spread around the skin otherwise it will just stick to one place. Once I have used all of this pot up I will be repurchasing as it is now a staple in my skin care routine.
I genuinely love this product if you have dry skin or sensitive skin or both please do try it out you won’t regret it!!
Thank you to Charlotte for allowing me to review and find a skincare product that works for me and thank you all for reading it is very much appreciated. One thing I just want to ask is that if you read my blog on a regular basis then you’ll know about my ‘Meet the Blogger’ series. It isn’t doing as well as I hoped so I’m wondering if you’re enjoying it, if you’re not please let me know how I can make it better or if I should stop it all together.
Thank you all for the support, sorry for the lack on blog posts over the past couple of weeks I’ve been on holiday and I have just started a new job. I will be working very hard on posts for you all.
